Staff Details

There are two members of staff:

Gillian M H Walker (B. A. in Fine Art; Diploma in the Conservation of Easel Paintings)

Head of Studio

Gillian undertook an Advanced Diploma in painting, at Bristol Polytechnic (1969-1971), and a Diploma in Conservation (Paintings)  at Gateshead Technical College (1975-1977).

She worked as a conservator in the North of England Musuems Service (1977-1983), and was the Principal Conservation Officer/Head of Studio at Yorkshire and Humberside Museums Council (1983-1991). Gillian set up the studio in 1991.

Gillian is an Associate of the International Institute for Conservation; an Associate Member of the British Association of Paintings Conservator-Restorers (BAPCR); and an Accredited Member of the Institute of Conservation (ICON).

Helen Davis (M.A. (Hons) History and History of Art; M.A. Conservation of Fine Art (Easel Paintings))

Assistant Conservator

Helen completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Edinburgh, and an M.A. Conservation of Fine Art (Easel Paintings) at Northumbria University. She has completed short internships at the National Gallery of Scotland, the Phoebe Anna Traquair Trust, and the Norwegian Institute for Cultural Heritage Research (NIKU).

Helen has worked at the studio since January 2006.
